BizHub C750i J30-03 Jams at roller before fuser.
For jamming on a Konica bizhub c750i this is what I've found for the jam code J30-03. The symptoms consist of the machine jamming with a J31-03 and the paper will stop on the right side right at the registration roller. After testing the machine it was consistent that the machine would jam once the paper tried to take off from the registration roller. I cleaned all the sensors and checked each drawer to see if it would jam and it did on all paper feeds units. From this I derived that it needed a conveyance unit (registration unit). I returned with this unit and put it on and the problem was immediately fixed.
After action review:
From the manual my understanding is the items that could be bad were the motor and the conveyance unit. After the fix it is my determination that the motor would stall with a hard turning conveyance unit. My thinking is that if you were to free up the conveyance unit you may not have to order it and save you or your company money. This happened at 1.5M prints and when replacing these units that is typically the volume (or more) when they get replaced. If this is happening with a new machine I would question this being the solution.
